Shiva Skunk Regular is an 85% indica ‘super-hybrid’, bred from Northern Lights #5 and Skunk #1. This heritage is clear from the appearance of the plants. Vivid green, they are compact bushes with strong lateral branching and heavy harvests of trichome-covered buds. First released in 1987, Shiva Skunk was originally named NL#5xSK#1. Shortly after, it was renamed in honour of the Hindu god Shiva. Shiva Skunk won the Mostly Indica award at the first Cannabis Cup and has remained popular among growers ever since.

Growth pattern of Shiva Skunk Regular

Although it was originally released over thirty years ago, Shiva Skunk remains a favourite among fans of cannabis. New generations of growers discover it every year, delighted by its ease of cultivation and large, chunky buds.

Shiva Skunk Regular has the kind of bud structure and potency that only comes with a premium indica-dominant heritage. Being 85% indica ensures plentiful yields in a conveniently short flowering period of 45 to 55 days. Whether grown indoors or outside (in warm or temperate climates), growers can expect excellent harvests, without requiring too much technical know-how or expertise.
