About Mexican Sativa Regular Seeds

Mexican Sativa Regular does away with many of the prejudices surrounding sativa strains. Are you one of the people who think sativas are expensive, difficult to grow, and sensitive? Then it’s high time you expanded your horizons! Mexican Sativa can do well even in cold climates, and enchants with a powerful, energetic high. Since it also smells good, and is low in cost, it impresses novices and experienced growers alike.

Mexican Sativa Regular cannabis seeds are easy to grow, affordable and ideal even in cold climates. The tall, elegant plants produce weed with an aroma that differs from typical Haze strains.

Mexican Sativa Regular growth pattern

So how did we succeed in getting this exotic cannabis strain acclimatised to northern climates? By crossing an original, little-known strain from Oaxaca with the robust African sativa strain Durban. To shorten the flowering time and further improve resistance to cold, we also added a Hash Plant from Pakistan.

The result is a plant based on 70% sativa genes, with elegant, elongated buds. The loose structure of the buds means they’re very resistant to mould. Those who know it praise the versatility of this strain. It can be cultivated in a growing room as easily as it can outdoors. But remember: these plants can grow vigorously during the flowering phase, which can last up to ten weeks.

In moderate or warm climates, plants regularly reach a height of two metres. Indoors, you can manage growth by keeping the vegetation period a little shorter. Thinning out the plants also helps, resulting in bushier growth. The side branches of the Mexican Sativa respond well to this method.

Other cultivation methods such as Sea of Green (SOG), Screen of Green (SCROG), Lollipopping or Supercropping are also suitable for this cannabis strain, and will further increase already good yields.

Effect, flavour and smell of Mexican Sativa Regular

The powerful, energetic high is perfect for physical activities. The majority of smokers report feelings of euphoria accompanied by (uncontrollable) giggling fits. New cannabis users should proceed with caution. Because Mexican Sativa is not a pure sativa, it also has a relaxing component. It has a long-lasting effect.

The flavours of Mexican Sativa are an unusual blend of sandalwood, flowery notes and pine. The scent during the growth and flowering phase is subtle, which is an advantage for certain growers. When smoked, notes of liquorice and citrus come to the fore, with underlying woody and earthy flavours. If you want a change from the usual Haze flavours, this could be the perfect strain for you!

Did you know?

  • “Sativa, sweet sativa, cannabis sativa, grown by nature down in Mexico,…” The heavy metal fans among you may recognise these lyrics. The hard guitar riffs by Anvil are a matter of taste, but the song “Sativa” goes well with the energy boost this strain triggers.
  • In addition to these regular seeds, this cannabis strain is also available as Mexican Sativa Feminized.

Si

Power of genetics
Ordered 3 Mexican fem seeds on two occasions, both good experiences with sensiseeds, and packaged superbly with international destination. The actual Seeds have beautiful irregular stripes and are shiny, generally looking in excellent health. Germinated in one day, with cup and water left in darkness. Planted each seed with growers soil in 4l pots. Sprouted in 2 more days, a beautiful bright green split leaf on a creamy coloured trunk. These plants really love the sun, heat and absorb everything relating to UV ! Since these are exceptions outsiders, they can really flourish. Side branch trimming every week is necessary throughout grow phase. Big mistake I made losing two saplings by the wind blowing them out of their pots, gutted! Enclosed, yet outdoors surroundings during initial grow phase recommended. 2 months in and has the buds developing at 4 different levels of the plant, and healthy new shoot buds appearing about every 2 weeks. Took some advice from a review about moderate watering for the plant, but hotter climate, (eastern Mediterranean), could do with regular watering to be safe. But noticed the plant can absorb water from atmosphere especially at night time retaining moist soil in the mornings, so watching out not to over saturate the soil, will leave one day/night a week no water. Although just starting to bud, the smell is apparent and reassuring of a good herb strain. Also due to the long stem development, had to use sticks, and thread to support the plant from swaying to much in breezes and protect those growing buds from getting shaken too much. Also added some small rocks around stem soil base to add further support and pot weight. These plants love the sun, but the breeze is vital to go through them, just securely support the stem is my advice. The rest nature will intend itself accordingly with this strain. A true winner and a testament to the old growers knowledge and techniques, showed how this plant should be planted and grown successfully. Good luck to everyone growing this champion plant. Can’t wait to see how it’ll be by end oct, start of November, as 10 weeks flowering stage will fall into winter beginning. Praying for the sun to stay potent long enough, should be ok then. Will repost the end result at harvest. Overall, such a nice experience so far growing these babies. Plant food, (after 2 weeks growth) eggshells and banana skin fertiliser in soil at start.
